Dealing with the loss of a loved one is never easy. Properly mourning such a loss is very important in order to live with that loss in a healthy manner. Mourning is an integral part of the process. The mourning period may vary for different people. In order to, for lack of a better word, “accept” the loss of a loved one, the period of grieving is essential.
In bereavement counseling, we address feelings of loss, anger, abandonment and whatever other feelings should the loss make you feel. We will address the many issues, including the practical ones, i.e., parting with clothing and/or other possessions. Proper bereavement will allow you to live with and get past any negative emotions.
